Do you have your My Number card? — asked at the reception desk
「マイナンバーカードは、お持ちですか。」
How to answer in Japan
★The paper health insurance card stopped working on 1 December 2025. You now show your My Number card. If you do not have one, your city office or health insurance society has sent you a paper called 資格確認書 (certificate of eligibility). Without either, you may have to pay the whole cost that day.
⭕️ A good answer
はい、これです。/すみません、まだ持っていません。資格確認書があります。
Yes, here it is. / Sorry, I do not have one yet. I have a certificate of eligibility.
❌ Not enough
(黙って、財布の中を探し続ける)
Saying nothing while you keep searching through your wallet. Tell them what you do have.

Where this comes from
Every question here comes from an interview on video, from a published guide to applying and interviewing in Japan, or from teachers explaining Japanese interviews in Nepali. Where a question turns on an official rule, the official page is listed as well. These are the sources for this one.
