Nihongo Tales
Things from the stories
Every folk tale on this site has a tote bag, a T-shirt and a sticker. The picture on each one is a real frame from that story, with the line that goes with it — in Japanese, with furigana, and in English underneath.
Nothing is kept in a warehouse. Each item is printed after you order it and shipped from the printer, so it takes a little longer to arrive than a shop with shelves.
The Tongue-Cut Sparrow
Princess Kaguya
Momotaro
Urashima Taro
The North Wind and the Sun
The Old Man Who Made Flowers Bloom
Issun-boshi, the One-Inch Boy
Saru Kani Gassen, The Monkey and the Crab
The Emperor's New Clothes
The site stays free whether you buy anything or not. The stories, the audio and the furigana are not going behind a paywall, and nothing here is a better version of what you already have.
