かぐや姫ひめは、「私わたしは、月つきの人ひとです」と言いいました。
Kaguya-hime said, “I am a person of the moon.”
「私わたしは、月つきへ帰かえります。」
“I am going back to the moon.”
おじいさんとおばあさんは、とても悲かなしみました。
The old man and the old woman were very sad.
おじいさんは、たくさんの人ひとを呼よびました。
The old man called many people.
その人ひとたちは、かぐや姫ひめを守まもります。
Those people guard Kaguya-hime.
次つぎの夜よる、月つきから白しろい光ひかりが来きました。
The next night, a white light came from the moon.
月つきの人ひとが、家いえの前まえに来きました。
People of the moon came to the front of the house.
守まもる人ひとたちは、動うごけませんでした。
The people guarding her could not move.
かぐや姫ひめは、おじいさんに手紙てがみを渡わたしました。
Kaguya-hime handed a letter to the old man.
かぐや姫ひめは、「ありがとうございました」と言いいました。

かぐや姫ひめは、月つきへ帰かえりました。
