The old man goes to the mountain.

He cuts bamboo.

One day, there was a shining bamboo stalk.

The old man cut that bamboo.

Inside, there was a tiny girl.

The old man took the girl home.

The old woman was very happy.

The two of them named the child “Kaguya-hime.”

Kaguya-hime grew up quickly.

She is a very beautiful woman.

Many men came from the town.

The men said, “Please marry me.”

The old man called many people.

Those people guard Kaguya-hime.

The next night, a white light came from the moon.

People of the moon came to the front of the house.

The people guarding her could not move.

Kaguya-hime handed a letter to the old man.

Kaguya-hime said, “Thank you very much.”

Kaguya-hime went back to the moon.

The old man and the old woman kept looking at the moon.
