Seikatsu no NihongoLiving in Japan
Please put your garbage out on the right day, in the morning. — from your landlord or a neighbour
「ごみは、決められた日の朝に出してください。」
How to answer in Japan
★Which garbage goes out on which day is different in every city. If you do not follow the day, the place and the type, your garbage will not be collected. ★If you are not sure, ask right then whether there is a sheet that explains it. Many cities make one in other languages (Osaka City has English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Nepali).
⭕️ A good answer
すみません、ごみの出し方の紙は、ありますか。
Excuse me, do you have a sheet that explains how to put out the garbage?
❌ Not enough
はい、わかりました。(分からないまま、いつもの日に出す)
“Yes, I understand.” — and then putting it out on your usual day, still not knowing the rules.

Where this comes from
Every question here comes from an interview on video, from a published guide to applying and interviewing in Japan, or from teachers explaining Japanese interviews in Nepali. Where a question turns on an official rule, the official page is listed as well. These are the sources for this one.
